Testing out the new camera

Yes, yes, I got a new camera: it's the Nikon D60! I am absolutely addicted to it! I would really like to learn more about photography, so I'm reading books and trying things out.

Scarf and bunny

Wow, two posts in one day! I'm breaking my record here ;-)

It's time to show you what I've been up to the last week. I finished this scarf, it's made from 100% wool merino. Does that mean that it will felt if I wash it hot?? Does anyone know?

And then I also made this bunny, using the wee wonderful pattern. It's really fun to make, I'm sure this bunny will get some brothers or sisters in the near future! I especially like the blue flower fabric. I bought it from a woman who had sewn all her life, but now that her kids were big, she didn't sew anymore, so she sold all her fabrics.

Passion for knitting

Last week, I went to the bookstore to get a book for my father's birthday and my eye fell upon this book: Passion for knitting ("Passie voor breien") by Leigh Radford.

The book is in Dutch and shows lots of inspiring projects, like these bags from felted sweaters or this amazing laptop bag:

I can't wait to make a project out of this book, but how can I choose?!

Fun scarf

This is a scarf I made last winter. I am not a very good knitter (fortunately my mother is), so I am always looking for simple projects and this scarf was super easy to make. I like the colors and the pompons.
