Holiday crafts

Well, the holidays are over and we are back at our regular routines. I must say that I don't regret it. I love Christmas, but it's always so busy that I like it when everything can turn to normal again.

In between all the festivities of Christmas, we managed to do some holiday crafts, like baking cookies and making paper garlands.

I also finished my striped afghan and it's now hanging over our sofa, I will show a picture of it next time.

Last but not least, I want to wish all of you a very happy 2009! With lots of love, laughter, friendship and creativity, but most importantly with a good health!

Xmas decorations

Yesterday, we set up our Christmas tree. For the very first time, we decided to buy a fake one. I have always been against fake trees, but the advantages of a fake one won us over this time. With the two little cats in the house, I was afraid that I constantly had to keep them out of the tree and that I would find ornaments and needles all over the place. And I think today the fake trees look really nice. Here are some pictures of our tree and some other Christmas decorations around the house:

Finally some Christmas decorating

Aah, I finally got around to some Christmas decorating and even some crafting with the kids! Here is the result of our Christmas decorating:

I made this collage with this great little tool, which you can download for free: RIPT.

And as said, I sat down with the kids this afternoon to do some Christmas crafting and this is the result:

These are stacked Christmas trees made from scrapbook paper, I found the idea at The Small Object!

Have a nice Sunday!

How do you do it???

I am watching all you girls making these amazing handmade gifts, holiday decorations and so on... And I am asking myself how you are able to do all that? The last few weeks, I haven't found the time to do anything crafty. I see alle these wonderful tutorials passing by and I all save them to a list, but I just can't get myself to do any of them... It's really frustrating. Should I just make the time, do I have bad time management? I don't know. But fortunately, there is some hope. Next week, I only have to work two more days and then I am home for 2,5 weeks. Today, I also took the day off, I haven't been feeling to well and I'm in desparate need of some me-time. After writing this post, I'm going to read in my Harry Potter and this afternoon I'm finally going to buy our Christmas tree which we will decorate with the kids tomorrow.

I'll leave you with a picture of my two kids in bath, during a photo session for our Christmas card.
